How to PrepareDo not drink alcohol or take blood
thinners (including herbal supplements), for 3-5 days before your treatment. Bring a picture of the results you are seeking. This will help guide us to the best product for you. |
During my TreatmentThis product is administered via a needle through multiple injections into the lip border and/or the pink part of the lips.
An anesthetic numbing medicine may be used to reduce the discomfort of the injection. This may consist of topical numbing cream as well as the lidocaine infused within the filler. The treatment area is first cleaned with an antiseptic solution. Multiple injections will be made to the treatment area, depending on the site, depth of deformity, and the technique used. |
After My TreatmentThe treated area may be sore, swollen, pink, and possibly bruised. Ice or a cool compress may be applied on the site for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Tylenol, Arnica pills or gel, as well as antihistamine pills (Claritin, Zyrtec, etc) may also be used to reduce swelling.
After your treatment, make a return visit in 1 week so we can follow up on your results. Additional filler product may be necessary to achieve the desired level of correction. |
Possible RisksWe recommend that you take it easy after your lip treatment. Do not engage in any strenuous, cardiovascular activity for 1 to 2 days. Do not massage or bite your lips. These activities can increase side effects and complications, including swelling, bruising, and pain.
|
Although a very thin needle is used, injection related reactions can occur. Potential reactions include swelling, pain, itching, bruising, bumps, and discoloration on the injection area. These side effects are considered normal and temporary and should go away within a week of your treatment. Once optimal results are established, the lip filler can last 6 months and up to a 1 year.
