How to PrepareDo not drink alcohol or take blood thinners, including herbal supplements, for 3-5 days before your treatment.
|
During my TreatmentThis product is administered via a needle through multiple injections.
The treatment area is first cleansed with an antiseptic solution. An anesthetic numbing cream or ice may be used to reduce the discomfort of the injection. Multiple injections will be made to the treatment area, depending on the site, depth of deformity, and the technique used. |
After my TreatmentThe treated area may be swollen, pink, and possibly bruised. Ice or a cool compress may be applied on the site for 5 to 10 minutes at a time.
Wash your skin with cool water. Avoid all abrasive products and treatments. You may apply moisturizer and mineral sunblock SPF 30+ after the treatment. Return in 2 to 3 weeks so we can follow up on your results. Additional product may be necessary to achieve the desired level of correction. Deep lines may need 2 treatment sessions. |
Possible RisksWe recommend that you take it easy after your treatment. Do not do anything cardiovascular for 1 to 2 days. These activities can increase side effects and complications, including swelling, bruising, and pain.
|
Although a very thin needle is used, injection related reactions can occur. Potential reactions include swelling, pain, itching, bruising, bumps, and discoloration on the injection area. These side effects are considered normal and temporary and should go away within a week of your treatment. Rare side effects include vascular occlusion, necrosis, and blindness.
