During my TreatmentThe cortisone is administered via a thin needle. Depending on the number of lesions, there may be one or several injections.
The treatment area is first cleansed with an antiseptic solution. |
After my TreatmentThe treated area may be swollen, pink, and possibly bruised.
You can use an acne cream to the area after the treatment. After your treatment, it can take a few hours for the lesion to shrink or come to a head. Depending on the type of acne lesion, sometimes it may need to be drained. |
Possible RisksAlthough a very thin needle is used, common injection related reactions can occur. These include swelling, pain, bruising, bumps, and discoloration on the injection area.

These side effects are considered normal and temporary and should go away within a few hours of your treatment.
