PRP Face & Body Sun exposure, smoking, pollution, and tanning can increase the aging process in our skin. This process becomes evident on our skin as sun spots, wrinkles, broken capillaries, and/or dull looking skin.
PRP uses the platelets in your own blood to induce healing, generate growth factors, and create new circulation to the skin. PRP can be used to treat stretch marks, acne scars, surgical scars, wrinkles, and skin rejuvenation. The procedure is safe for all skin types. |
How to PrepareDo not drink alcohol or take blood thinners, including herbal supplements, for 3-5 days before your treatment.
Please drink plenty of water before and after your treatments (approximately 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day). |
During my TreatmentThe PRP is administered via a needle through multiple injection sites or with a microneedling device.
The treatment area is first cleansed with an antiseptic solution. An anesthetic numbing medicine may be used to reduce the discomfort of the injection. Multiple injections will be made to the treatment area, depending on the site, depth of deformity, and the technique used. |
After my TreatmentThe treated area may be sore, swollen, pink, and possibly bruised. Wash your skin with cool water. Avoid all abrasive products and treatments. You may apply moisturizer and mineral sunblock SPF 30+ right after the treatment.
Return in 1 month so we can follow up on your results. Additional PRP treatments may be necessary to achieve or maintain the desired results. |
Possible RisksWe recommend that you take it easy after your treatment. Do not do anything cardiovascular for 1 to 2 days. These activities can increase side effects and complications, including swelling, bruising, and pain.
|
Although a very thin needle is used, common injection related reactions can occur. Potential reactions include swelling, pain, itching, bruising, bumps, and discoloration on the injection area. These side effects are considered normal and temporary and should go away within a week of your treatment.
