Botox & DysportBotox and Dysport is used to eliminate facial and neck wrinkles, to treat migraines, to reduce excessive sweat, to treat bruxism or teeth grinding, and to slim the jaw muscles. It works by reducing muscle activity in the area where it is injected.
The results lasts about 3 to 4 months depending on the treatment area and the skin condition. |
How to PrepareDo not drink alcohol or take blood thinners (including herbal supplements), for 3-5 days before your treatment.
|
During my TreatmentThis product is administered via a needle through multiple injections into the skin.
An anesthetic numbing cream or ice may be used to reduce the discomfort of the injection. The treatment area is first cleansed with an antiseptic solution. Multiple injections will be made to the treatment area, depending on the site, depth of deformity, and the technique used. |
After my TreatmentThe treated area may be sore, swollen, pink, and possibly bruised. Ice or a cool compress may be applied on the site for 5 to 10 minutes at a time.
Wash your skin with cool water. Avoid all abrasive products and treatments. You may apply moisturizer and mineral sunblock SPF 30+ after the treatment. Return in 2 weeks so we can follow up on your results. Additional product may be necessary to achieve the desired level of correction. Deep lines may require 2 treatment sessions. |
Possible RisksWe recommend that you take it easy after your treatment. Do not engage in any strenuous, cardiovascular activity for 1 to 2 days. Do not massage your skin. These activities can increase side effects and complications, including swelling, bruising, and pain.
|
Other less common side effects include flu-like symptoms, drooping or heaviness of the eyebrow, headache, and drug interactions. In very rare cases, there is a possible allergic reaction, causing difficulty breathing or swallowing, and weakness of the body.
Once optimal results are established, the product can last on approximately 3 to 4 months. |
