Chemical peelChemical peels are a common skin procedure to remove superficial dull, dead skin. We offer mild to moderate level chemical peels to treat acne, fine lines, large pores, melasma, and sun spots.
We recommend that chemical peels are repeated once a month to address skin concerns or twice a year for maintenance. |
How to PrepareAvoid sun exposure for 2-3 days before your treatment.
Drink plenty of water prior to your appointment. |
During my TreatmentThe chemical peel is administered with a large cotton tip applicator to the treatment area. You may feel a mild to moderate itching or stinging sensation.
|
After my TreatmentThe treated area may be swollen, pink, and possibly tight.
Wash your skin with cool water. Avoid all abrasive products and treatments. You may apply moisturizer and mineral sunblock SPF 30+ after the treatment. Avoid exercise or sweating until the skin begins to crack and peel off. Do not manually remove the peeling skin. |
Possible RisksCommon reactions can occur. These include swelling, pain, itching, and discoloration on the injection area. These side effects are considered normal and temporary and should go away after your treatment.
|
To avoid more serious complications, we recommend that you avoid the sun and anything hot (including cooking over the stove or oven, showering in hot water or soaking in a jacuzzi). Refrain from strenuous or cardiovascular exercise for 1 to 2 days.
